For many, holiday shopping is a tedious practice carried out each year. One picks a busy afternoon to battle overcrowded parking lots and congested stores to purchase gifts. Instead of finding items that friends and family members will display, many gifts purchased are done so out of desperation. Eliminate poor spending habits. Don’t be the person distributing animal-printed blankets that feature arms. Instead, deliver unique pieces that will be treated as treasured heirlooms throughout the years.
As cold temperatures attempt to lock New Englanders inside of their homes until spring, it is important to build comfortable nests in order to weather passing storms outside. No two nests should be alike. Instead of walking through isles of average artwork and home décor offered in bulk, enjoy the backdrop of this Holiday Craft Fair that promises to deliver one-of-a-kind treasures for you and yours. From photographs and wall hangings to wood pieces and vases, the variety of items found here are sure to be favored by any recipient.
Mike and Pat’s Craft Shows are designed and organized to offer their customers a well-balanced blend of traditional and contemporary arts, crafts, jewelry and clothing not found in stores. From wood works and pottery to photography and metals, this fair will feature the work of 150 artisans showcasing and selling their talents to satisfy your shopping needs. This event will take place on Sunday, December 6, and admission to the event is $2.50 for adults. Children 12 and under are free.
Handmade Treasures Galore
Sneakers are the walking shoe of choice for this event as there are more than 150 artisans and crafters displaying their work for you. Pottery pieces and glassware will be available. There will be copper, silver and gold jewelry of all different sorts adorned with everything from beads to sea glass. Photographers will showcase matted prints, some with unique frames, in addition to handmade cards and stationary. American Girl Dolls are a popular gift this season. Take advantage of homemade clothing for these dolls and save money. A wide array of scarves, vests, handbags and totes will be available for adults as well.
A nice addition to this festival is the variety of toiletries. Handmade, natural and decorative soaps are on hand (pun intended) in a variety of different scents. Bath oils and soaps make for a nice gift for those who seem to have everything. Check out the hooded bath and beach towels for children, which also make for a gift that is sure to be used again and again.
A Central Locale for Easy Driving
Running from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 6, this 19th annual fair will take place inside the Holiday Inn in Mansfield. Take exit 12 when traveling on Rt. 495 or take exit 7 off of I-95. Since the Patriots will face the Miami Dolphins during a night game down south, traffic in the area should be minimal. There is no charge to park. Come early as many items are one of a kind so once they are gone, they are going for good. If you cant make this fair, Mike and Pat’s website lists upcoming events for you to pencil in to your planner. Become a better gift giver this season.
