Canada Day Celebrations in Winnipeg, Manitoba

There are a few annual Canada Day events held within the city limits of Winnipeg that celebrate Canada Day and offer family fun:

  • Canada at the Forks, presented by Rogers, starts during the day and ends in the late evening, providing family entertainment, activities and of course fireworks

Pony rides, barrel train rides, petting zoo, face painting, bingo, homemade pies, food concessions, demonstrations, bouncers and more are all a part of the event that starts in the early evening and ends with the night sky full of fireworks
  • At the Oak Hammock Marsh Interpretive Center, off Hwy 67 between Hwy 7 and Hwy 8, is a Canada celebration in the afternoon offering a number of different activities, wagon rides pulled by horses, and cake
  • The Quarry park in Stonewall, which is located down Hwy 67 between Hwy 6 & 7, hosts a Canada Day celebration
  • Lower Fort Garry National Historic Site of Canada, located north of Winnipeg on Hwy 9, offers free admission, activities, entertainment and cake to celebrate Canada’s birthday
  • Selkirk, Manitoba hosts a celebration down at the waterfront with family entertainment and fireworks
  • The St. Norbert Farmers’ Market, located at 3514 Pembina Hwy, will be offering entertainment on Canada day
